Just in case this helps someone else… 2106 Leon 1.4 TSI FR. I heard a clonk under the car when I was driving on the M1, like something had maybe flicked up from the road and hit the undertray. A bit later I noticed that the amber EPC light was on and the car’s power was much reduced. The stop / start was showing a problem too.

The Leon FR 1.4 TSI with the £500 Tech Pack offers much better value on paper. I'm sceptical the stronger residuals of the Golf will cover the difference in purchase cost. Having said that if you can live with a lower spec the Audi A3 1.4 TFSI COD SE is the real smart buy.
Im having similar problems with my 2010 1.4tsi (92kw) seat leon, engine code CAXC. Every morning i start it, it sounds like this. 1.4 TSI Start noise. - YouTube WSLAWSON, did your car sound similar to mine? And did replacing the camshaft positioner solved the problem? And A8 tech, could falty camshaft positioner cause this noise??? Thanks!
Hi all I am still having cold running issues with my 68 plate seat Leon with the 1.5 tsi engine 130bhp. Car has done 17000 It still runs poor when cold hesitation and a noticeable jerk when accelerating from around 1.5 rpm and upwards that car seriously holds back and I still get massive flat
